Why the taxi stops in Täsch
Zermatt is a car-free resort: no outside taxi can drive up to the village. The last point you can reach by car is Täsch, with its Matterhorn Terminal. From there, a shuttle train runs to Zermatt in about 12 minutes, with frequent departures.
In practice, we drop you outside the terminal, unload your suitcases and skis, and all you have to do is board the shuttle. On the way back, we agree a meeting time in Täsch: you simply ride the shuttle back down.

From Aigle, the Chablais and the Riviera
From Aigle, the route follows the Rhône Valley up through Martigny, Sion and Visp before entering the Zermatt valley as far as Täsch. Allow about 137 km and 1 h 45 on the road, longer in snow or on busy winter Saturdays.
We pick up in Aigle, but also in Bex, Monthey, Villars or on the Riviera. Shorter journeys along the way may also be of interest: Aigle – Sion is 60 km (CHF 228 in the E-Class), and our drivers know the roads of the Valais well, summer and winter.
From Geneva Airport: about 3 hours door to door
Landing in Geneva and getting to Zermatt by train means several changes with your luggage. With a private transfer, you get into the vehicle at the airport and step out in Täsch, about 249 km and 3 h later depending on traffic and weather.
- We track your flight and your driver meets you on arrival.
- Your driver loads your luggage and skis.
- A stop on the way is possible: just mention it in your booking message.
For the airport, see also our Geneva Airport taxi page. For full details of this route, read our dedicated Geneva Airport to Zermatt transfer page.
Zermatt transfer prices: quick quote
Every journey to Täsch from our area is over 100 km, so the price is agreed on request. It is based on our per-kilometre rate, CHF 3.80/km in the Mercedes E-Class Estate and CHF 4.80/km in the Mercedes V-Class, for the whole vehicle rather than per person.
For a return trip, the distance is counted twice. Send us your dates and the number of passengers and pieces of luggage: we reply quickly with a price given before departure and confirmed when you book.
A ski week in Zermatt: planning your transfer
For a stay at the foot of the Matterhorn, luggage tends to be bulky. The E-Class takes 1 to 4 passengers and 4 suitcases; beyond that, or with skis and boots, choose the V-Class, for up to 7 passengers and 10 suitcases.
Book your outward and return journeys together, stating the time of your shuttle back down to Täsch. For other resorts, see our page on private airport transfers in Switzerland.
