Cog railway or taxi up to Leysin?
Leysin is linked to Aigle by the Aigle–Leysin cog railway, often the easiest option if you are travelling light during the day. A taxi takes over when the train is less practical:
- arriving or leaving outside the times that suit you;
- heavy luggage, skis, a pushchair or sports equipment;
- needing to be dropped at a specific address in the village rather than at a stop;
- travelling as a group: the price is for the whole vehicle.

Pick-up at Leysin station or your address
To head back down to the valley, we collect you at Leysin station, outside your accommodation or at any address you choose. Give the exact location in your booking: Leysin spreads across a wide hillside, and a few words are enough to avoid any confusion.
Got an SBB train to catch? Tell us the departure time and we will work out a pick-up time with a sensible margin so you reach Aigle station in good time, where Simplon line trains leave for Lausanne, Geneva and the Valais.
A mountain road, summer and winter
The Aigle–Leysin road climbs in hairpin bends above the Rhône plain. Our drivers know it well and have spent many years driving mountain roads in summer and winter alike. In snowy weather the journey can take longer: we will let you know when you book.

Leysin – the Riviera and Geneva Airport
