The Aigle – Châtel journey by taxi
From Aigle, we cross the Rhône plain to Monthey, climb via Troistorrents to Morgins, then go over the Pas de Morgins and down into Châtel. The distance is estimated at about 35 km, roughly 40 minutes by road depending on traffic and weather.

Crossing the border at the Pas de Morgins
The Pas de Morgins is the pass between the Valais and Haute-Savoie. You cross by car without changing vehicles: you stay with the same driver all the way from Switzerland to Châtel.
- Every passenger must carry a valid identity document.
- The usual customs rules apply to any goods carried.
- In winter, road conditions on the pass can affect the journey time; we keep you informed before departure.

A stay in Châtel: arrival and departure
Châtel is part of the Portes du Soleil ski area, shared with Swiss resorts such as Morgins and Champéry. Many of our passengers head to the resort for a week's skiing and arrive by train at Aigle station, on the Simplon line.
