Why the transfer ends in Täsch
Zermatt does not allow ordinary cars in the village. Every road transfer, whoever drives it, stops at Täsch, where the Matterhorn Terminal connects with the shuttle train to Zermatt. The ride up takes about 12 minutes and trains leave frequently throughout the day.
In practice, this means we drive you right to the terminal, unload your bags and skis at the kerb, and you continue by rail. You do not need to book anything else for the road section, and you avoid changing trains several times with luggage on the way from Geneva.

The route from Geneva Airport
After meeting you on arrival at Geneva Airport, we head along Lake Geneva and into the Rhône valley, then turn up the Mattertal from Visp towards Täsch. The whole journey is about 249 km. Allow roughly 3 hours; on busy winter Saturdays or in heavy snow it can take longer, so we always speak of an approximate time.
- We follow your flight, so we know when you have actually landed.
- We load your luggage and ski bags for you.
- If you want a short stop on the way, mention it in your booking message.
Our drivers have many years of experience on mountain roads, summer and winter, which matters on the final climb up the valley.
Choosing the right vehicle
Our Mercedes-Benz E-Class estate takes 1 to 4 passengers and up to 4 suitcases. That suits a couple or a small family travelling light. For a ski group, or anyone carrying boot bags and several pairs of skis, the Mercedes-Benz V-Class seats up to 7 passengers with room for 10 suitcases.
Tell us at booking how many skis and bags you have, so we send the right car. The price is for the whole vehicle, not per person, which makes the V-Class good value when the group is full.
How pricing works for Zermatt
For journeys over 100 km we do not apply the standard per-kilometre rate; we agree the price with you on request and send a quick quote. The amount is always confirmed before departure, so there are no surprises on the day. A return trip is simply the outbound journey counted twice.
If you are combining Zermatt with other resorts, our Geneva Airport to Verbier transfer and Crans-Montana transfer pages show nearby options in Valais.
Booking your outbound and return journeys
You can book by phone or WhatsApp on +41 76 488 99 14, by e-mail at info@taxi-eduard.ch, or with the booking form on this page. You speak directly to the drivers, not to a call centre, and we confirm quickly. We work 24/7, including weekends and public holidays.
For the way home, take the shuttle train down from Zermatt and we collect you in Täsch at the agreed time. Answers to general questions are on our FAQ page.
