Champéry, at the head of the Val d'Illiez
Champéry lies at the head of the Val d'Illiez, the valley that climbs from Monthey via Troistorrents and Val-d'Illiez, facing the Dents du Midi. The AOMC railway links Aigle, Monthey and Champéry. A taxi complements it for door-to-door journeys with luggage, or at times when you would rather not wait. It also lets you stop on the way, for example to pick up keys or run an errand in Monthey, as long as you mention it when booking.
From Aigle to Champéry, allow 24 km and about 30 minutes depending on traffic and weather: CHF 91 in an E-Class for 1 to 4 passengers, CHF 115 in a V-Class for up to 7.

Skiing and holidays in the Portes du Soleil
The Portes du Soleil is a ski area spanning France and Switzerland. On the Swiss side, Champéry and Morgins are two of its gateways; on the French side, Châtel is the resort closest to the border at the Pas de Morgins. We carry skiers and families between these resorts and the valley.
